How It Works

A Discipleship Journey Accomplished Through Movement

The Apostle Paul Challenge is not just a fitness program. It is a structured, yearlong walk through the life and travels of the Apostle Paul — one mile at a time.

The Big Picture

Faith and Fitness, United

Every month of 2027 covers a historically and biblically grounded segment of Paul's missionary travels — from his first journey out of Antioch to his final arrival in Rome. Everyone in the challenge studies the same portion of Paul's story that month, no matter when they joined or which fitness level they chose.

You choose the pace that fits your life. Your fitness level sets your monthly mileage target. The biblical content — the cities, the Scripture, the history, the prayer — is the same for every participant. Walk two miles a day or twenty. You are all on the same road.

Step by Step

How the Challenge Works

01

Register & Choose Your Level

Sign up before January 1, 2027 and choose your fitness level — Pilgrim, Apostle, or Missionary. Your level sets your monthly mileage target. You can change levels between months.

02

Receive Your Monthly Segment

On the first of each month, your new biblical segment unlocks — a new stretch of Paul's journey, new cities, new Scripture readings, new field guides, and new prayer prompts.

03

Walk, Run, or Hike Daily

Log your miles each day from any device. Every mile you log moves your marker forward on the interactive journey map, placing you on the actual route Paul traveled.

04

Study the Biblical Content

As you walk, read the daily Scripture passages and unlock field guides for each city on the route. History, archaeology, theology — everything you need to walk with Paul.

05

Pray the Journey

Each city on Paul's route comes with a guided prayer prompt drawn from the events that happened there. Let the geography shape your prayer life.

06

Share with the Community

Post milestones, encouragements, and prayer requests to the community feed. Thousands of believers are walking the same road — you are not alone.

07

Finish Strong & Earn Your Certificate

Complete each month's mileage target and earn a personalized completion certificate. Finish all 12 months and receive the full yearlong completion award.

More Than Miles

Why Movement Matters for Discipleship

Paul did not sit still. He walked, sailed, and pressed through hardship to bring the Gospel to the ends of the earth. The Apostle Paul Challenge invites you to embody that same spirit — to let your body participate in the story your soul is learning.

Movement creates space for reflection. The rhythm of walking opens the mind to Scripture in a way that sitting rarely does. Thousands of believers throughout history have known this. Now you can experience it for yourself.

This is discipleship accomplished through movement — a whole-person response to the call of the Gospel.

"Walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called."

Common Questions

What People Ask

Can I join after January?

Yes. You can join any time during 2027 and begin with the current month's segment. You will not miss anything — each month stands on its own as a complete biblical and fitness experience.

What counts as mileage?

Walking, running, and hiking all count. You log your miles manually each day through the dashboard. There is no GPS tracking required — this is an honor system built on integrity.

Can I change my fitness level?

Yes. You can switch between Pilgrim, Apostle, and Missionary levels at the start of any new month. Your historical mileage logs are preserved regardless of level changes.

What if I miss a day?

Life happens. There is no penalty for missing days. Simply pick up where you left off. The goal is consistent movement over time, not perfection.

Is this connected to a church?

The Apostle Paul Challenge is interdenominational and open to all believers. Many churches and small groups participate together — you can register as a group or individually.
